While on her way home, after a recent night out with friends, a woman was allegedly attacked by her 25-year-old ex-boyfriend.

“She alleged that she met the suspect in Rietfontein Road in Primrose,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
“He asked to talk to her and allegedly became aggressive when she refused.
“The victim claims he grabbed her by the arm and started slapping and kicking her.
“She further alleged that when bystanders attempted to intervene he threatened them with a knobkerrie.”

The man was arrested soon after the incident was reported to police.
He was held at the Primrose Police Station, pending his appearance in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.
