A 42-year-old woman was arrested by the Katlehong police last Friday, in connection with the murder of a 54-year-old man.
The deceased was found at the Mazibuko Hostel, in Katlehong, shot in the upper body.

“A murder case was opened for investigation,” said Capt Mega Ndobe, communications officer for the Katlehong police.
“During the investigation police discovered that the deceased had recently sold his taxi and had the cash in his possession.
“It was also alleged that the deceased’s girlfriend was involved in the murder.”
The woman was found with the money in her possession and was arrested.
“Police are still looking for the suspect who allegedly shot and killed the deceased,” said Ndobe.
“More arrests are expected to be made.”

Katlehong SAPS station commander Brig Sammy Thambo congratulated the officers involved in the arrest.
The accused will appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court soon.
