Holocaust victims honoured by Assumption Convent School

Learners attend Yom Hashoah ceremony at the West Park Jewish Cemetery.

Assumption Convent School matric learners Chiara Bonanni and Chinenye Ngwu, accompanied by their principal, Neville Workman, attended the Yom Hashoah ceremony at the West Park Jewish Cemetery recently.

This ceremony is held annually as a memorial to the millions of victims who were killed in the Holocaust under Nazi Germany.

It is an incredibly moving ceremony and the school was proud to be part of it as Assumption was the only non-Jewish school to attend and pay tribute to the Holocaust victims.
