Information leads to arrest of two suspected dagga dealers

EMPD members nab two suspected dagga dealers.

Acting on a recent tip-off  members of the EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) arrested two suspects in possession of dagga valued at over R4 000.

The arrests took place at a house situated in Luvuyo Street, in Phumula, near Leondale at 11.30am.

“When they swooped on the house the DEU members uncovered 866.5g of dagga and also seized cash amounting to just over R200 suspected to be proceeds from the illegal dealings,” said Chief Supt Wilfred Kgasago, spokesperson for the EMPD.

The suspects, a man and woman, aged 30 and 23 respectively, were detained at the Elsburg Police Station and charged with possession of and dealing in dagga.

They are expected to appear in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court soon.
