Paramedics attend to seriously injured hit-and-run victim in Germiston South

ER24 attended to a patient in Power Road in Germiston South.

A 26-year-old man was left seriously injured on Wednesday following a hit-and-run incident on Power Road in Germiston South.

“ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 7.10am to find the man lying in the middle of the road,” said Russel Meiring, communications officer for ER24.

“Paramedics quickly assessed the man and found that he had sustained a serious injury to his leg, leaving him in a serious condition.”

The man was treated for his injury and provided with pain-relief medication before he was transported to Tambo Memorial Hospital for further treatment.

The vehicle that hit the man was not found on the scene.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
