Two injured in crash on N3 highway in Germiston

Emergency services attended to an accident scene on the N3 highway.

Two women, in their late 30s, who were ejected from their bakkie when it allegedly clipped a truck and rolled on the N3 highway south near the Grey Avenue exit, last Saturday, suffered moderate to serious injuries.

ER24 and other services, including Ekurhuleni Disaster Management and Emergency Services (DEMS), arrived on the scene at 9.55am.

“One woman was found to have suffered moderate injuries, while the other was in a serious condition and required advanced life support interventions,” said Ross Campbell, spokesperson for ER24.

“They were treated and stabilised before being transported by other services to Thelle Mogoerane and Sunshine hospitals for further care.”

Authorities were on the scene for further investigation.
