Luso bounce back with win against Musa

Luso Africa FC’s first and reserve teams got results in the latest Eastern Local Football Association (ELFA) Super League clashes.

Musa United Football Club travelled to Hattingh Park, in Primrose, to face Luso Africa Football Club last Saturday in the recent Eastern Local Football Association (ELFA) Super League clash.

Luso seemed relaxed and slower than usual in the first half and Musa were no better.

As the clock ticked, both teams made no noteworthy successful exchanges, except for fouls. The first half came to an end with no goals on the scoreboard.

In contrast, the second half was completely opposite to the first.

Quick dribbles and tackles were the order of the day.

Right from the centre to the 18-yard box, Luso were close knit, looking for a chance to gain the lead.

They weren’t performing at their sharpest, but Luso’s Fulvio Perreira managed to score twice to ensure Luso came out as winners.

The final score was 2-0.

The reserve sides, in an early game, started well for both teams. However, a prompt goal from Luso’s Balin Benissan set the tone for the game.

But an error by Luso allowed Musa back into the game, to even the score to 1-1.

Lebohang Mashego regained the lead for Luso setting the score at 2-1.
