A RAM delivery vehicle with a mixed load of valuables, which included cellphones, was hijacked by an unknown number of men, last Tuesday.
The hijacking took place in Wadeville at 10.09am.
The driver was left on the scene, but the passenger was taken along in the hijacked vehicle.
“The EMPD SWAT team members were alerted by RAM security and provided with the GPS coordinates of the vehicle’s movements,” said Chief Supt Wilfred Kgasago, spokesperson for the EMPD.

At around 10.45am, EMPD members located the vehicle on Langa Street in Roodekop.
The valuable cargo was missing and the passenger was found unharmed.
Cases of hijacking and theft of cargo were registered at the Elsburg Police Station.
Investigations are underway to apprehend the perpetrators of the crime.
