Nine nabbed in Katlehong North

Katlehong North police share their successes.

Nine suspects were arrested during several different crime prevention operations in Katlehong North on Thursday.

The operations were conducted by officers from the Katlehong North SAPS Crime Prevention Unit and detectives from the Katlehong North Police Station.

The accused were arrested for different offences.

Charges included hijacking, warrant of arrest, common assault and assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

“We will continue to hold similar operations as we believe they have a positive impact on the safety and security of the Katlehong North precinct,” said Katlehong North SAPS acting station commander Lt Col Eric Tsheoga.

He encouraged officers to target and reduce the number of serious and violent crimes within the community.
