Men found with white substance believed to be drugs

Primrose police apprehended two men on a charge of drug possession.

During a stop-and-search operation in Makause informal settlement last Friday, officers from the Primrose Police Station arrested two men.

The men, both aged 28 years old, were arrested on a charge of drug possession.

“Each of the men was found with a zip-lock packet containing a white substance.”

“When police questioned them, the men allegedly admitted the substance was drugs,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

The suspects were taken to the Primrose Police Station where they were detained pending their appearance in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.

Their case has since been postponed for plea and trial.
