Man allegedly found with drugs, following SAPS chase

Primrose police nab 32-year-old on a charge of drug possession.

While on a routine patrol last Monday officers from the Primrose Police Station noticed a suspicious-looking white sedan parked in Meyer Street.

As they approached the vehicle the driver sped away.

“Officers gave chase and were able to pull over the vehicle in Filbert Street, in Primrose,” explained Sgt Style Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

Police searched the 32-year-old driver and the vehicle.

“During the search a substance believed to be drugs was found in the man’s possession,” said Maome.

He was arrested and taken to the Primrose Police Station, where he was charged with possession of drugs.

He has since appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court where his case was postponed for plea and trial.
