Learn new skills at Germiston City FC

Germiston City Football Club will launch a new football academy with the aim of laying a firm foundation for young footballers.

As head coach for the Germiston City Football Club Sreten Pavlovic has noticed a gap in the basic skills of footballers whom he trains.

“I have been coaching seniors for five years and continue to see players with little or no basic skills,” he explained.

“To this end I have decided to start an academy for young children.

“The academy will allow young footballers to learn basic skills and lay a firm foundation for them when they progress through their football careers.”

The academy will make its home at the Germiston City Sports Club and is open to boys from five years old to 11 years old.

“I am a qualified coach and an experienced player and aim to help children reach their full potential,” said Pavlovic.

The academy will be officially launched on February 23, and registration for 2019 will take place on Saturdays and Sundays from 8am to 9.30am.
