Hoërskool Vryburger High School learners receive their matric results.

Matric learners paid their alma mater Hoërskool Vryburger High School a visit on Friday morning to collect their matric certificates.

The school had 120 matric learners and recorded a 75 per cent pass rate.

Principal Ian Olivier said “The results were not as good as we would have liked.

“It was a difficult year for last year’s matrics but this year is going to be better.”

The top achieving learner was Elisha Perumal with five distinctions in core mathematics, physics, accounting, life sciences and life orientation.

He plans to study actuarial science this year.
