Afrikaanse Hoërskool learners celebrate their results

Afrikaanse Hoërskool Germiston pleased with 2018 matric results, achieving a 95 per cent pass rate.

The highly anticipated 2018 matric results have been released, and with them have come some mixed reactions.

While many learners celebrated their passes, some have had to put their plans for the future on hold waiting for either a remark or to write a supplementary exam in June in the hope of passing.

But for Afrikaanse Hoërskool Germiston it was mostly smiles and sighs of relief as the matriculants arrived at the school on Friday to receive their results.

Though du Toit is pleased with the results she always feels sad for the few who didn’t make it.

“But they now have ample time to study before the exams in June,” she said.

“Overall we are very happy and I can’t complain.

“I am satisfied my teachers did all they could to get the learners ready for their exams. They worked during holidays, went through past papers and really worked hard and did all they could.

“I wish all our matrics well in their future endeavours.”

Ayanda Twala was accompanied by her cousin Bonolo when she collected her matric results from Afrikaanse Hoërskool Germiston on Friday.
