It was then Katlehong’s turn to bat, however, the club was bowled out by the home team for 71 runs, in 44 overs.

The day’s top bowlers were Thorpe, four wickets in five overs for 10 runs, and Len Jacobs four wickets in five overs for 21 runs.

This victory has placed the team third on the Sunday Directors League log, two points behind Kempton Park Cricket Club.

The club is also currently second on the Sunday Promotion League log behind Avion Cricket Club, who have played one more game than the Eagles.

The Eagles will take a well-deserved break before the season starts next year.
