Officers from the Katlehong Police Station arrested 26 suspects between October 19 and 21.
The accused were arrested during several stop-and-search operations conducted by the Katlehong police’s Crime Prevention Unit and Vispol sector police, with the help of the EMPD.

The arrested suspects were charged with various offences.
Crimes included assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, common assault, intimidation, malicious damage to property, shoplifting, driving under the influence of alcohol and contravening the road acts regulations by speeding.
All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
