School of Achievement welcomed 245 runners to the school grounds recently when it hosted a 4km Spring Fun Run.
Before the race began, Macsteel presented the school’s principal, Tinus du Preez, with a cheque for
R5 000 as a donation to the school.
Some runners charged past the starting line and managed to complete the route in just over 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, those who power-walked also enjoyed the event and all finished by 9.30am.
Edna Jones (84) attended the event to show her unwavering support for the school and also donated
R1 000 towards raising funds for the occupational therapy department.
Her late husband, Tom, was part of the school’s original committee who worked hard to fund the school.
