Elsburg police share successes

Vehicle checkpoints (VCP’s), stop-and-searches and a number of other crime fighting operations organised by the Elsburg SAPS have yielded successful results.

The Elsburg police, together with the Provincial Organised Crime Unit, the EMPD and the Elsburg CPF, made 16 successful arrests during different station operations from July 27 to 29.

The perpetrators were apprehended on charges including fraud and corruption, general theft, possession of suspected stolen property, possession of dagga, dealing in liquor without a licence, warrant of arrests, driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of drugs and common assault.

The Elsburg police station commander, Col Linah Thethe, thanked all members who contributed in bringing in the successes.

She expressed how pleased she was with the service levels provided by her personnel and the related roleplayers in order to achieve a safe and secure crime-free environment for all.

Thethe also encouraged them to consistently render a responsible and effective service of high quality which is accessible to their community.
