Woman killed in Katlehong, husband arrested

Katlehong police arrest a 52-year-old man in connection with his wife’s murder.

A 42-year-old woman was killed in the Siphamamandla informal settlement in Katlehong on Thursday.

Her 52-year-old husband was later arrested by the Katlehong police and charged with the murder.

“It is alleged the man had an argument with his wife.

“When the police and paramedics arrived on the scene she was already dead,” said Capt Mega Ndobe, communications officer for the Katlehong police.

The motive for the murder is still unknown.

“She was found with bruises on her upper body and there was oil on the floor,” said Ndobe.

The man was taken to the Katlehong Police Station where he was held pending his appearance in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court.

Investigations into the matter continue.
