Six more days of detours in Barvallen

Barvallen residents need to brace themselves for more days of detours.

Roadworks on Barbara Road were expected to be finished by today (July 6).

However, Barvallen residents will be subjected to road closures and detours for a few more days.

According to Themba Dube, a safety representative from Nkomaba Trading and Projects, the roads have been levelled, tar has been laid but the road will remain closed until the phase of signs and road markings is complete.

“Road markings will be done on Monday and we plan to reopen the road on July 12,” said site manager Stanely Mokoena.
