The Primrose SAPS Crime Prevention Youth Desk celebrates Youth Month

The Primrose SAPS Crime Prevention Youth Desk (CPYD) hosted an arts and culture event to celebrate Youth Month.

The Primrose SAPS Crime Prevention Youth Desk partnered with Impact for Christ Ministries to commemorate Youth Month with their third annual Youth Day event, last Saturday, at Primrose Primary School.

The event was also the perfect opportunity to introduce the new Primrose SAPS Crime Prevention Youth Desk committee.

The local youth and their visitors staged a number of performances such as hip-hop dance, poetry, musical acts and a play showcasing their artistic talents.

“The main purpose of the day was to give the youth the opportunity to showcase their talents and teach them how to build new relationships through networking,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
