A man was allegedly attacked by four men in the Makause Informal Settlement last Monday.
The men, aged between 25 and 36 years, allegedly attacked the man after he was accused of breaking into and stealing from their shack.

“The victim reported the men first beat him with their fists until he fell to the ground at which stage they started to kick him all over his body,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
Paramedics were summoned to the scene where the man, who was bleeding from the mouth and had broken teeth, was stabilised and transported to a local hospital for further treatment.
The men were arrested and charged with attempted murder.

They have since appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court where the case was postponed for plea and trial.
“We are appealing to our community not to take the law into their own hands and to rather report any criminal activities to the police,” said Maome.
