Tekkie Tax Day is almost here – Help Germiston Child Welfare raise funds

Show your support for a good cause this Tekkie Tax Day.

It’s almost time for International Tekkie Tax Day, so make sure you have your sticker, Tekkie Tax shoelaces or T-shirt and support a worthy cause.

Tekkie Tax Day falls on May 25 and the community and local businesses are urged to help causes close to their hearts by purchasing a sticker or Tekkie Tax Day merchandise.

Germiston Child Welfare is a participating beneficiary of the campaign and the theme for this year is Leave a Little Sparkle.

As a registered public benefit organisation, Germiston Child Welfare can issue Section 18A tax exemption certificates to companies and individuals who make a donation.

Through Tekkie Tax Day more than 1 000 NGOs get support to continue their services to society.

Here are some ideas on how to get involved:

• Get your staff, families, colleagues, clients and service providers to participate in the fun of International Tekkie Tax Day by wearing their sticker of choice (R10), funky Tekkie Tax shoelaces (R35) and the new “Leave a Little Sparkle” T-shirt (R95 adults and R75 children).

• Sponsor children from a disadvantaged school or nursery school/ECD centre who would love to participate in Tekkie Tax Day but can’t afford the stickers – buy the stickers and join Germiston Child Welfare in handing them out to them so they can also be part of this special day.

For more information or to place your orders, visit Germiston Child Welfare’s Facebook page – Child Welfare Germiston, give them a call on 082 804 8376 or send an email to info@childwelfaregermiston.org.za.
