Drug awareness campaign launched in Katlehong

Police embark on a door-to-door drug awareness campaign to take a stand against drugs in Katlehong.

Officers from the Ekurhuleni West Cluster came together for a door-to-door drug awareness campaign in Katlehong.

The team made up of SAPS, local CPFs and community patrollers and members of the Katlehong Youth Crime Prevention Desk travelled throughout the Kwanele Section of Katlehong, recently, handing out safety tip pamphlets and engaging with the community.

“A number of different speakers addressed the community encouraging them to join the fight against crime and substance abuse,” said Capt Mega Ndobe, on behalf of the Ekurhuleni West Cluster.

“The community of Kwanele responded positively, and promised to do their part.”

The awareness campaign will continue in other areas of Katlehong.
