Man nabbed for wife’s assault

Primrose police apprehend man for domestic violence.

The Primrose police recently arrested a 45-year-old Makause informal settlement man for domestic violence.

The arrest was made after the victim of the assault, the man’s wife, opened a case at the Primrose Police Station.

“She told officers when opening the case that she had been at home sleeping while her husband was out.

“When he returned home he was allegedly drunk and began to accuse her of stealing his money,” said communications officer for the Primrose police, Sgt Styles Maome.

He reportedly became violent assaulting the woman, who fled.

The man was arrested and held at the Primrose Police Station.

He has since appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court, where his case was postponed for plea and trial.
