Top DJs to light up the stage

Carnival City is set to host Rock da Shades, a dance music festival to get you dancing the afternoon away.

Ekurhuleni’s premier dance music festival, Rock da Shades, is back at Carnival City for a second instalment on April 7.

A stellar line-up of DJs and artists has been confirmed for the Hawaiian-styled, outdoor festival.

Hitting the decks on Carnival City’s sprawling Festival Lawns are AKA, Black Motion, Sjava, Busiswa, OkMalumKoolKat, DJ Kent, DJ Tira & Tipcee, RDS Djz, DJ Onny, Shimza, Mo Flava and many more.

Following the success of the first edition in 2016, which saw over 10 000 fans attend the one-day event and witness its superstar-strong bill take over Carnival City, the stage is now set for an unbelievable experience when Rock da Shades returns.

Flip flops, shorts and summer colours are the order of the day.

“Rock your shades and enjoy a warm April afternoon dancing under African skies,” said Michelle Smith, the marketing manager for Carnival City.
