Man nabbed by K9 Unit for drug possession

A man was apprehended by the Primrose police for the possession of drugs.

While on patrol in Rietfontein Road last Friday, members of the Gauteng K9 Unit noticed a man acting suspiciously.

The 53-year-old became notably tense when the officers approached him.

“The officers searched him and found a plastic zip-lock bag containing a white substance believed to be drugs,” said communications officer for the Primrose police, Sgt Styles Maome.

He was taken to the Primrose Police Station where he was charged with possession of drugs after allegedly admitting to police that the confiscated bag contained Cat.

He will appear in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court soon.
