Primrose High athletes shine

Primrose High School was thrilled to announce that 32 of the school’s track and field athletes have been selected to compete in the Greater Germiston Athletics meet.

The performances of the athletes from Primrose High School has improved by leaps and bounds in this year’s athletics season.

Not only did the school place third in the recent inter-high athletics meet, where Siyabonga Uzoho, Misha Dzimba, Favour Chukwu and Sipho Mazibuko were named as some of the event’s top athletes, but 32 of the school’s athletes were selected to compete in the Greater Germiston Athletics meet, which was held on February 20.

“We have had huge growth in our athletics,” said coach Michael Cupido.

Primrose High School field athletes and their coaches are thrilled with their achievements at the recent inter-high athletics.

“We began preparing for the new season in December through a series of special training camps.

Primrose High School’s track athletes gave outstanding performances at the recent inter-high athletics meet and were among 32 athletes from the school selected to compete at the Greater Germiston Athletics meet.

“It is clear that these camps were worthwhile looking at the results.”

Cupido also credited the school’s principal André Grobler, his deputy and the school’s management for their unwavering support which he believes has helped the young athletes to reach their full potential.

The school looks forward to the rest of the athletics season.
