In preparation for the Kestrel League, the Elsburg Rugby Club faced the Parys Rugby Club in a friendly match this weekend.

Both clubs were in high spirits as they took to the field.

The first half of the match was tough for both teams, as they competed for possession of the ball.

However, it was the home team who were able to get the first points on the scoreboard thanks to a try from Johann Volskenk.

The gruelling match saw the teams heading into half-time tied at seven each.

The visitors seemed to have the upper hand and took an early lead in the second half.

But Elsburg did not give up and were soon rewarded with a try by Michael Beukes.

Unfortunately, this was not enough for the hosting side, as Parys broke through the defensive lines to score several more tries, winning the match 26-14.
