Officers and local security personnel warn the community

Officers from the Primrose Police Station and LL Security personnel took to the streets of Primrose to warn residents about crime.

The dark clouds overhead did little to dampen the spirits of the Primrose Police Station officers and personnel from LL Security, who joined forces to raise awareness about crimes in the Primrose area, on Thursday.

The team took to the streets of Primrose in convoy, visiting several previously identified crime hotspots where they distributed pamphlets and spoke to the community about crimes affecting the area.

These include hijackings, theft of motor vehicles, house break-ins and house robberies.

“You can’t really separate security companies from the police as we are all working towards the same thing – to make our community safe,” said Flip Mouers, national operations manager for LL Security, before the team set off.

“We hope that during this crime awareness campaign we will not only educate the community about different crimes but will also encourage residents to have a better relationship with police and security companies, so that together we can fight crime.”
