Puma Rangers FC are ready for the new season

Local club ready to tackle the new football season, on the heels of their successful 2017 season.

Puma Rangers FC, which was established in 2008 by Alex Zulu, is ready for the new season.

The Elsburg-based club was started with the hope that soccer could help the children of Elsburg, Ramaphosa, Dukathole, Tedstonville and Lambton get off the streets and pursue a sport that is not only entertaining but educational as well.

The teams will begin training for the new season at Hoërskool Elsburg, located in Brug Street in Elsburg, in February.

The club trains on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 4pm to 6pm.

“We are aiming to do even better this season then we did last year and have deemed it the ‘Season of Success’,” said Prince Rulashe, chairman of the club.

As with the start of any new season, the club is calling on all new players to come and join the club.

They will be holding trials for u-15 to u-19, as well as senior players, on February 10 at 10am.

“Players coming for trials are requested to bring their birth certificate or ID documents and their own kits along to the trials.

“We are also hoping to add to our technical team this year and are in search of coaches and a fitness trainer – ideally who live in the Germiston area,” said Rulashe.

The club welcomed their new sponsor Tic-Toc Pre-Primary Nursery School, based in Lambton.

“We are encouraging all our sponsors who worked with us last season to come on board once again for what promises to be an exciting season with a great club,” Rulashe said.
