Paddlers from the Victoria Lake Canoe Club (VLC) have been using the Victoria Lake Parkrun to train for the upcoming FNB Dusi Canoe Marathon.
Rob Hamer (president of VLC), Anthony Welsh, Claudio Gaspari, Zac Zaporopoulos and George Wilson are using the parkrun to train as the Dusi includes tough running with their boats, as well as difficult rapids.
Canoeists see this event as an adventure.
Wilson has completed the Dusi six times and Zaporopoulos has completed 27 races.
Welsh will be doing the race for the first time.
