Grade Ones ready for the challenge

Ithembelihle Lsen School got off to an excellent start to the new academic year.

The corridors and classrooms at Ithembelihle Lsen School in Primrose East were alive with the sound of happy children on Wednesday.

The school welcomed the new academic year with open arms and the children began their journey of learning right away.

Principal Leonor Ngozi told the GCN that they started registering all the children last Monday and Tuesday to alleviate stress on Wednesday.

“Everything went fine and it is all systems go,” she said.

“Everyone is working and we are looking forward to the new school year.”

The new Grade R and Grade One learners were excited to be starting “big school” and were ready to tackle their school work.
