Body of 12-year-old boy found in river

The Katlehong rescue team found the body of the 12-year-old boy under the M7.

The Katlehong SAPS recently dispatched a rescue team to search for a 12-year-old boy who went missing in the Natalspruit River in Moleleki Extension Two.

It is alleged that the boy, originally from the Zonkizizwe area, had been visiting friends in Khumalo Section when the incident occurred.

The group of friends had been playing along the river bank when the boy slipped and fell into the river.

It is reported that he tried to swim but the river currents overpowered him.
