Weekend operations lead to 10 arrests

Katlehong police kept busy with the arrest on 10 suspects over the weekend.

Festive season stop-and-search operations continued in Katlehong last weekend.

Officers from the Katlehong Crime Prevention Unit arrested 10 suspects between December 8 and 10.

The accused were charged with various crimes, including assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, common assault, theft, possession of dagga and malicious damage to property.

All of the arrested suspects were taken to the Katlehong Police Station where they were charged.

They have since appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
