Company challenges others to help

It is going to be a good start for the children of Hawk Academy in Primrose when they arrive at school next year to find they have brand new stationery.
The generous R20 000 donation of stationery, as well as teachers’ desks and reading books for young children, was handed over to the school by Dynamic Plastics on Thursday.
Yvonne McKenna, a sales consultant at the Malvern East-based company, told the GCN that every year the company gives sponsorship to a needy school or organisation.
“We were told about the school by Ward 36 councillor Wendy Morgan and decided to offer assistance,” Yvonne said.
“The school is in need of a lot of help, and we challenge other companies to fulfill a wish on the school’s wish list.”
Dynamic Plastics has also organised with Palesa Pads to come and educate the older girls next year.
Hawk Academy will be catering to children from Grade R to Grade Eight in 2018.
Principal Agnes Mkhonto was thrilled with the donation.
“We can start teaching and learning from day one as we will have all the equipment,” she said.
“We thank Dynamic Plastics as this will make our work easier next year.
“We really appreciate the donation.”
