Elsburg Sector One CPF still going strong

The community is urged to help in the fight against crime.

The Elsburg Sector One CPF has a new committee.

The committee members are Johan Lourens (chairperson), Quintis van Vliet (vice-chairperson), Carol Potgieter (treasurer), Isabel De Sousa (deputy secretary), Cecile Rademeyer (public relations officer) and Margaret Sekul (secretary).

The CPF wants the community to know that it is going strong.

The chairperson and vice-chairperson meet with the officers in charge of the local police station every Monday morning to discuss problems and solutions to crime in the area.

The emergency number 072 766 1613 can be called at any time by community members, whether or not you are not a member of the CPF.

The community must, however, bear in mind that the CPF is made up of ordinary people who have families and full-time jobs.

“For the CPF to be successful we need the community to take hands with us and help us to fight crime,” said public relations officer Cecile Rademeyer.

“If you would like to become a member or want to give a donation to the patrollers, call 082 390 7747 or 083 351 0404.

“There are no costs involved to become a member,” Rademeyer added.

“We need the community to be the eyes and ears of the CPF and the SAPS.”

The Elsburg Sector One CPF is funded by the members and donations from individuals.

Occasional fund-raising takes place as needed.
