Suspects arrested in Katlehong stop-and-search

A routine stop-and-search operation by Katlehong police’s Crime Prevention Unit yielded results.

Katlehong South police recently arrested 19 suspects for various crimes in their police precinct.

The suspects were arrested during a routine stop-and-search operation conducted by the Crime Prevention Unit together with detectives who were tracing suspects that appeared on their dockets.

The accused were arrested for several different offences.

Charges included murder, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, trespassing, theft, malicious damage to property, kidnapping, possession of stolen property and possession of dagga.

All the suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court on various charges where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
