Texas live in South Africa for the first time

International superstars Texas will be live in South Africa this December.

Here Comes the Summer Sun and Johannesburg will have the opportunity to enjoy it with Scottish alternative pop/rock band Texas on Sunday, December 10.

This will be the first time that Texas will perform in South Africa and fans are in for a treat.

For over three decades, the band has produced worldwide hits like I Don’t Want a Lover, Say What You Want, Halo, Everyday Now and Tell Me Why.

The international superstars will be joined on stage, at the Montecasino Outdoor Event Area, in Fourways, by UK singer-songwriter Emily Capell and sensational South African bands Henry Ate and Monark.

Henry Ate spent much of the late 90s and 2000s releasing chart-topping albums, touring the world and performing alongside legends like Skunk Anansie. Now they will be sharing the stage with Texas.

The day promises to have something for the whole family, with children under 12 being allowed into the venue for free.

The addition of several beer gardens and a variety of gourmet food trucks will complete the family-friendly festival vibe.

Since hitting the South African music scene in May 2013 with ‘Smiling’, Monark has changed the landscape of pop and rock music in the country. See them live when they support international superstars Texas.
