The festive season is approaching and people are getting in the mood to celebrate.

Unfortunately, it is also the time of the year when animals are abandoned or find themselves as strays on the streets of the city.

This is where the Germiston SPCA comes in to care for the influx of animals.

The Christmas Cheer Fund raises money to care for all those animals in need over the festive season.

The fund has opened its coffers and the community is urged to dig deep in their pockets to help animals this festive season.

All donations, big or small, are greatly appreciated and donors will be acknowledged in the GCN on a weekly basis.

When making your donation, please give your first name and surname so that you can be thanked properly in the GCN.

Donations can be made at the Germiston SPCA’s kennels in Junction Road, Driehoek or paid straight into the Germiston SPCA’s bank account.
