Community encouraged to come forward and claim wheelie bins

Primrose police attempt to respond to community’s outcry over stolen wheelie bins.

During a routine patrol of the Makause Informal Settlement recently, officers from the Primrose Police Station recovered four wheelie bins.

The bins were found in an abandoned shack.

“We have heard the community’s outcry over the theft of wheelie bins in our precinct and tried to trace the owner of the shack but, unfortunately, we could not find the owner,” explained Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

The bins were taken to the Primrose Police Station.

“We are appealing to those whose bins have been stolen, to come to the station to see if any of the recovered bins belong to them,” said Maome.
