Bertha Gxowa Hospital showcases its services

Bertha Gxowa Hospital hosted their annual open day to showcase the services offered by the hospital to the community.

The Bertha Gxowa Hospital was a hive of activity, on Thursday, with community members flocking to the hospital’s annual open day.

The open day, which was held outside the hospital’s main entrance, saw a variety of medical exhibits and stalls set up, each teaching the public about the services offered at the hospital.

In addition, hospital personnel showcased a number of career opportunities within the medical sector, which aimed to inspire younger visitors.

The Bertha Gxowa Hospital is designated as a district hospital serving Ekurhuleni and the services provided are non-specialist in nature.

Services include accident, emergency and trauma care, as well as allied services, which include audiology and speech therapy, clinical psychology, dietetics, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, social work, radiography services and sonar and pharmaceutical services.

The day was a success, with community members leaving the open day with a better understanding of what the hospital and its staff offer.
