It was a day to remember, last Friday, when Creative Kids Pre-School celebrated its 10th birthday.
The celebration event was packed full of birthday entertainment and included a visit and show from Dave and Vanja Ingold, volunteers at the Alberton SPCA, and their 14-year-old rescue dog, Ollie.
Ollie loves children and allowed them to fuss over him while they were taught a song called I Speak Doggie.
This was followed by a visit from the medical emergency services team, who educated the children with informative demonstrations.
All the children and attendants were showered with delicious treats, including cakes, ice cream and chips.
Creative Kids is a place of learning, where building a solid foundation in learners is a priority. Children from Dinwiddie, Stone Arch, Castleview and other surrounding areas flock to the pre-school.
Along with its pre-school learning activities, the school also offers many social and community services, which have seen many people in the community benefitting.
It offers transport and aftercare facilities for all its feeder schools and other schools in Germiston.
All these activities are overseen by qualified, experienced and knowledgeable staff.
All children who attend the school have access to e-books, internet and Wi-Fi.
Along with the learning also comes some fun for the children and they hold concerts, picnics, birthday celebrations and much more.
“Creative Kids believes in offering the best quality foundation to children.
“The school makes sure that the children are secure and are confident in everything they are taught, before they exit Grade R,” said owner Corli Carratu.
“We make sure that whatever is taught focusses on consolidating the learner’s learning ability.
“Classroom environments, teaching and learning at Creative Kids promote holistic development of the child.”
Help make a difference to animals:
The owner of Creative Kids Pre-School, Corli Carratu, will be riding the Telkom 947 Cycle Challenge to raise funds for the Alberton SPCA.
The school is holding a food drive for the SPCA and donations of dog and cat food would be greatly appreciated.
Donations can be dropped off at 119 Hatfield Avenue, Dinwiddie.
