A 36-year-old man handed himself over to the Germiston SAPS last Saturday.
The police have been looking for the suspect in connection with the recent Germiston South drive-thru murder (GCN, September 8, “Man shot and killed at drive-thru”).
The murder took place on August 26 on the corner of Angus and Webber roads, in Germiston South.
“The police were working day and night investigating the case,” said Capt George Raphulu, head of communications for the Germiston SAPS.
“I confirm the suspect was arrested and detained at the Germiston Police Station for further investigation.
“The suspect will appear in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court soon.”
