Portuguese sounds come to the Emperors Palace stage

Enjoy an evening with Lisbon’s Carlos do Carmo and the Ekurhuleni Symphonic Orchestra at Emperors Palace.

Emperors Palace is delighted to present Carlos do Carmo, master of the Portuguese Fado music genre, at the Theatre of Marcellus on September 30 at 8pm.

Recognised worldwide for being the first to incorporate an upright bass and orchestra into his act, the Latin Grammy Award winner forever transformed the genre and is widely respected for his contribution to Portuguese music.

Having toured the world from Paris to Madrid and Montreal, do Carmo is finally making his way to sunny South Africa for his debut performance.

He will be joined on stage by the Ekurhuleni Symphonic Orchestra, who will bring the sounds of Lisbon to life for one night only.

There will also be a special appearance from the talented Tembisa High School Choir.
