Five nabbed for possession of drugs

The Primrose police’s recent foot patrol yields results.

The Primrose police arrested five suspects, aged between 24 and 38, on charges of possession of drugs.

The arrests were made during the police’s foot patrol operation held last Wednesday in various informal settlements, in Primrose.

All suspects arrested, were detained at the Primrose Police Station.

“We are still faced with the problem of substance abuse in our precinct and we will continue to arrest all law-breakers in our area,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

“Substance abuse leads to domestic violence, murder, common assault, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm and robbery – among other things.”

The suspects will appear in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court soon.
