Children — a cause close to Interwaste’s heart

Mandela Day saw the launch of Interwaste’s Reconciliation Play Park to the delight of local children.

Interwaste hosted children from Dukathole for a festive fun Mandela Day.

The children spent the morning at the company’s Reconciliation Play Park.

During the day’s festivities, Interwaste welcomed over 100 children from the local crèches, and primary schools who got to experience Mandela Day, the Interwaste way.

The day kicked-off with some of the children playing on the jumping castles that were set up, while others spent their time on the swings and other equipment at the play park.

Following this, the children were treated to some lunch and delicious treats including, hotdogs and juice, soft serve ice cream and candy floss.

And that’s not all – the children also had a chance to look like some of their favourite childhood hero’s including Spiderman, courtesy of a face painter who joined in the fun.

Interwaste thanks all those involved in making the event the success that it was, and more importantly, making this a memorable Mandela Day for the children of Dukathole.
