Application for interdict to prohibit relocation of Angelo goes to court while Angelo residents take to the streets

Application for interdict to stop Angelo move is underway.

The application for an urgent interdict to prohibit the relocation of residents from the Angelo informal settlement to Germiston is currently underway in the Johannesburg High Court.

Lynette Nance-Kivell, from Nance-Kivell Attorneys, a civil and litigation expert and a Marlands resident, along with another law firm are applying for the interdict.

More information will be communicated as soon as it becomes available.

While the application is being heard in court the Angelo informal settlement residents have taken to the streets near the settlement, in Boksburg.

The GCN’s sister newspaper the Boksburg Advertiser is warning motorists travelling on Main Reef Road to avoid the area near the settlement.

The protest is said to be related to service delivery.
