Fund-raising party in aid of animals
The community is urged to get more involved and help the Germiston SPCA.
The Germiston and Bedfordview SPCA recently held a fund-raising event.
The event, which was a birthday party for Cathy Valente-Parkinson, was held at the Italian Club in Bedfordview.
Vanessa Casey, a committee member for the SPCA, described Cathy as a dedicated and actively involved member of the SPCA family.
She said a portion of the entry fee went towards fund-raising for the SPCA.
Casey urged the community to get more involved and help the Germiston and Bedfordview SPCA.
At the party Valente-Parkinson said she has been with the SPCA for close to seven years.
“I’ve given up everything to volunteer at the SPCA,” she said.
