Children take a stand against racism

Heavenly Flowers recently hosted an anti-racism campaign, teaching the children to love without discrimination.

Learners and teachers, from Heavenly Flowers Primary School, in Delville and pre-school, in Lambton, recently took a stand against racism, through an anti-racism campaign.

During the awareness campaign children were taught the importance of not discriminating against people based on the colour of their skin.

“We strove to show the children through the campaign that the colour of your skin does not matter and does not define a person as everyone is created equal,” said Heavenly Flowers’ owner Heidi Searle.

Children were given the opportunity to create brightly coloured posters with bold ‘No To Racism’ slogans that encouraged the community to take a stand and make a difference.

The children learnt a lot through the day’s activities.
